Dear Zach

Dear Zach,

I keep dreaming about Vanuatu. But not the real Vanuatu--it's the imagined Melanesia of Polynesian stereotypes. I'm sitting on the edge of a volcano and I'm giant or I'm floating down a marsh. There's thatched roofs and tiny villagers and always (always) I'm speaking in Bislama. I use to dream about swimming with sea creatures all the time, so my mom (in pre "The Cove" days) took me to swim with the dolphins. The dreams stopped. Does this mean it's time to go back.

Thinking of you,

Jessica

P.S. I will be in Halifax July 15th for Becca's wedding. Will you be around?
