Dear Lauren,

I don't own a freshly birthed baby (no, really, I don't) but I suspect that sometimes it can get a bit tiring. So I've decided to add that "wow" factor to your day by mailing this very sexy and amazing nasal aspirator. (Oooh! Aaah!) I'm concerned about little Noah's potential inability to breathe and I love thinking/talking/writing about baby mucous. It's my favourite kind of mucous, in fact. (Although I'm really more of a blood and pus kind of gal.) Seriously though, I can't wait to meet Noah and awkwardly try to engage him in political discussion. (Babies like that, right?) I keep dreaming about Vanuatu. But not the real Vanuatu--it's the imagined Melanesia of Polynesian stereotypes. I'm sitting on the edge of a volcano and I'm giant or I'm floating down a marsh. There's thatched roofs and tiny villagers and always (always) I'm speaking in Bislama. I use to dream about swimming with sea creatures all the time, so my mom (in pre "The Cove" days) took me to swim with the dolphins. The dreams stopped. Does this mean it's time to go back.

Just for the record, I'd be considerably more interest in you if you were more like "Cranium." I mean, where are the competitions that measure people's intelligence? (Granted, they'd have to be something that could be measure quantitatively.) I know mathematicians aren't as attractive as snowboards and attract less sponsors, but I'm just sayin.'
